Strengthening Interloop’s LEED Portfolio in the Apparel Park

Interloop’s Hosiery Plant 6 at the Apparel Park has been awarded LEED® Gold Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council, securing 67 points under LEED v4 BD+C: New Construction.

Completed in just 330 days and covering 256,324 sq ft, the facility incorporates advanced building technologies, renewable energy features and highly efficient resource systems.

Environmental Impact

Plant 6 delivers significant sustainability gains, including:

    40% reduction in energy use
    51% decrease in potable water consumption
    25% lower carbon footprint
    30% increase in fresh air intake
    78% construction waste diversion

“Every new facility is an opportunity to reduce our impact while creating better workplaces for our people,” said Navid Fazil, Chief Executive Officer. “Plant 6 reflects the direction we are taking as a company—efficient, low-impact and built for long-term sustainability.”

With this achievement, Interloop’s LEED-certified portfolio now includes three LEED Gold hosiery plants and LEED Platinum denim and apparel facilities. Within the Apparel Park, two hosiery plants are LEED Gold and one apparel plant is LEED Platinum, making the site a leading example of sustainable industrial development.
