At the Annual Mega Event 2023, Interloop received the prestigious 1st prize in the Large National Enterprises category of Living the Global Compact Business Sustainability Awards. The CEO of Interloop Asset Management Company, Aliya Dossa, represented the company and accepted the award during the ceremony. The event was graced by Martin Dawson, the Deputy Head of Mission and Deputy High Commission of the UK, who served as the chief guest. The theme of the event was Changing norms and rebalancing power. The summit aimed to review progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 and identify knowledge, resources, and funding gaps. The Global Compact Network Pakistan organized the event and brought together stakeholders to take stock of progress and discuss the gaps in knowledge, resources, and funding.
The summit emphasized the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration, innovative thought leadership, transparent reporting on progress, and focused action to achieve the SDGs. The event addressed global themes and trends and reviewed the resources and tools needed to accelerate business progress, culminating in a celebration and a shared vision of the world we all want. Sustainability practitioners, CEOs, Entrepreneurs, and colleagues from the UN family came together to accelerate actions through discussions & debates on the most pressing issues & priorities of the UN and the future of multilateralism.
