Every year Interloop Limited inducts fresh graduates across its various functions through its flagship Management Trainee Program. It’s a one-year working contract which exposes MTOs to a variety of operational and supportive roles thus creating enormous learning and grooming opportunities for the young appointees. A stringent selection process and yearlong work assignments prepare a professional base for them for a promising career.
A total of 11,394 candidates from all over Pakistan applied for this program after it was advertised in August 2016, in leading national dailies. This was the highest number of applications ever received in a year so far. Of these applications, 5,646 candidates were screened-in for basic criteria of the position. Out of these, 1,914 applicants were selected for NTS for the General as well as Subject-based test based on their academic performance and majors. It was followed by assessment center activities comprising of extempore speeches and group discussions, for which 515 aspirants were selected.In the final round, 280 contenders were interviewed, out of which top 67 were offered placements and joined the Interloop family out of which 45% are females.
On 22 December 2016, Mr. Musadaq Zulqarnain, CEO, Miss Faryal Sadiq, ED People & OD, and Miss Fareha Zafar, Head of Organizational Development Department, warmly welcomed MTO batch 2016-17. Later that day, heads of other departments shared their views with MTOs over a brunch. Next in line was a six days orientation which included company introduction, departmental presentations and visits to various functional areas and divisions. Interactive activities like team building, firefighting drills, etc., were also part of the orientation. During the next 12 months, the MTOs will undergo a planned learning and development pathway including extensive Cross Functional Trainings, Departmental Projects with specified activities, Assignments and Presentations, MS Office Training, Soft Skills Learning interventions and bi-annual feedback meetings with OD.
Final Assessment of MTOs will be conducted on project reports, presentations’ evaluation scores, competency-based scores and on overall conduct in their respective departments. As per company policy, these young officers will then be offered permanent jobs based on the aforementioned evaluations & assessments.
