Interloop Limited has always been ardent about keeping its management thinking, methodologies and technology abreast with the modern world-class practices. It has been applying LEAN in pursuit of continuous improvement of its manufacturing processes and becoming more robust in its operations.
Investing heavily in training its people locally and overseas, on Toyota Production System, LEAN concepts, tools and practices, Interloop organized its 3rd delegation of employees to be trained in Japan, from July 1-12, 2019. It included classroom training, practical exercises and simulation games such as Kanban, Convenience store game (Lot Size) & Fan assembly. Key learning areas at the workshop were Workplace Improvement, Quality, Just in Time, Total Preventive Maintenance, Visualization & 5S, HR Development, Kaizen Management / Cost Reduction, ChangePoint Management.

Vice President People & OD, Saeed Ahmad; DGM Operations Plant 5, Shakeel Ahmed Anjum; DGM Quality Denim and the middle management from across the company attended the Toyota Production System (TPS) & Toyota Management System (TMS) workshop with American Links & Toyota Engineering Corporation (TEC).
The Participants were taken for plant visits to DENSO; TAKATANA FACTORY, AVEX, TOYOTA MOTOMACHI PLANT & DADIO; Industrial Robot Exhibition Hall. They also visited Toyota Museum Nagoya, learned about the history of Toyota’s growth and got inspired by process implementation across operations. While in Japan, the team enjoyed Japanese, Nepali and Indian Foods. During the weekend team spent a well-earned day full of fun and entertainment at Tokyo, Yokohama.
